This is a book I've been saving up to read all year and finally actually sat down and started in between going to school. I promise I didn't read any of it in my office though I was sorely tempted. It's a powerful read, totally absorbing, gripping, at times (a lot of times) brutal and horrific but that is what happened which compels you to read on. It's a brilliant read for 13+ I'd say. If you read it too I think it would be even better as it raises so many issues and ones which I don't think we probably think about very much in our world. What a versatile writer Tanya Landman is-she writes another favourite set in our family-The 'Flotsam and Jetsam' series which is for much younger readers and a TOTALLY different read. WOW-amazing how you can write such different novels...totally in awe.
