"Thank you for your passion about books!" Headteacher of Halifax Primary
  • Bespoke reading chats with individuals or focus groups
  • Recommended lists for teachers
  • Book making (of course)
  • Reading evenings/days for families (like the one you can see above where Storyshack visited Halifax for pupil interviews, 1 to 1 consultations, lending favourites, following up and swapping books, a visit for teachers to Storyshack and a final family evening).
St. Felix RC Primary school are having STORYSHACK for their amazing yearly Parent Partnership days. Making creatures and chatting about books in a relaxed setting is a very jolly way to spend a day and, I hope, relaxing for families too. In effect I can bring STORYSHACK to you and set up a mini story shack so children can choose what they'd like to do. See for yourself in the Slide show below.

Turn natural 'finds' into new characters as a way INTO WRITING (00h and because it's a great, fun thing to do if you are CHILD or you are still one at heart

Open new worlds with a visit from Story Shack...children's imaginations will take them and YOU (as teachers) to new places. Wrapping the project around the children's imagination means you can then take the project in many directions long after STORY SHACK has left. ...the only problem is the children will want to take them home with them BUT there's always more to make and have adventures with.

We all like writing much more if we've invented our own characters, worlds and stories AND we've made our own books too. Here's a little character called a ZEEBEE. There are only 600 of them in the world-we're lucky to have had one of them fly in to a school STORY SHACK was working in this week.

Storyshack has been to Beacon Hill Primary, Rosehill Primary, Waldringfield Primary, Kyson Primary, Grundisburgh Primary, West Row Primary, Brooklands Primary,  Queen's House Pre Preparatory School AND......YOU TOO if you like BOOKS!
Have a look at the blog page for more details of all the AMAZING books, creatures, boats and maps those Early Years and Primary aged children have made :-) + Get in touch
