Release your  imagination......
Explore new worlds.
Make your own stories.

Explore a map-real or fantasy....where do you want to go? Make your own and see where your imagination takes you.

Save childhood

and now to that Autumnal question.-have you ever seen 'jet planes meeting in the air to be refuelled?'

Never mind 'the silk inside a chestnut shell' (although I do really love that line very much and many others in 'Autumn Days') what about 'the books inside the cardboard shell'?

Been thinking about reading cultures in school this week and this exciting parcel would surely go someway to engendering some excitement. Some classics and some new titles as you can see. As we are in our new school year it's great to be able to find out about new titles to re invigorate reading corners and libraries across the land.   Just a couple of new items to peruse can lift up your reading area and keep everybody on their toes....ooh and yours' too if you're the teacher of course.

Been re-reading Harry Potter 'The Order of the Phoenix' over the summer. As one pupil said when I told her this week...that's the longest one! Yes and I've really liked taking the time to pick up on all those things missed in the films. I also confess to reading it perhaps too quickly in haste as desperate to find out what was going to happen when it originally came out.

Interestingly have had many conversations in Storyshack about what to read next and discovered Harry Potter being missed out now as everybody says 'they've seen the films'. There are so many more details in the books though-don't miss them out because you're missing out on all those extra bits you get with your own imagination.
PS if your mind wanders you can always see if you can spot any jet plans re fuelling ;-)

To develop our future scientists and engineers we have to encourage our children to think, to dream and to imagine. How else will they be able to create their future?

Well the Royal household might need this book very soon and then it can, of course, be used again a bit later too :-) Lovely book with colourful pictures of rather ornate potties and some interesting uses for said potties.
Good for all sorts of reasons...DT later for design for a purpose in your class and a little bit of a giggle too AND it's about potties of course. A funny addition to your book collection AND if you don't know it 'The Queen's Knickers' by Nicholas Allan is also a cheeky look at the Royal collection of knickers...I don't think I need to say more. Read away....
