![]() I've started "WONDER" by R.J. Palacio: the moving and uplifting tale of August Pullman, a boy born with a facial deformity. It's perhaps a much needed tale especially for children growing up in these 'celebrity looks conscious' days. Something to make us all think about style over substance and all that. So far I like the way the author writes from different character's points of view, particularly from Auggie's sister - Via. Auggie takes up a lot of their parents' attention-it's very touching and quite raw reading about how this makes his sibling feel and the impact it has on their family. Really thought provoking read so far. I had to make myself STOP reading so I could open up STORYSHACK this morning
